Iranian poster. Persian lessons

Renowned Iranian designer Ali Rashidi and his companion — designer Reza Alavi — dreamt of seeing the mother land of their idols — ElLissitsky, Rodchenko
and Malevich. With them they brought numer ousposters, catalogues and eastern sweets for the Contemporary Iranian Poster Exhibition.
In Iran of 1980’s, design was not a popular vocation, especially with such cosmopolitan connotations. Ali Rashidi, who studied and worked as a graphic
designer in the USA returned home in 1990’s, after the war ended. Ali is also ancontinuous educator either inside Daarvagorat the University of Art's
graduates chool where he has been teaching conceptual graphic design for the last 10 years.
