James Victore. Completely alive

Victore is literary a real American selfmade man, who is always lucky in everything, from the very beginning. Starting with parents! Of course, he is
lucky: father — pilot, and mother — librarian!
It is thank to mom,that his design education began: Push Pin magazine, Bob Guill, Ivan Chermayeff. Victore works for design studio that specialises on
flyers and restaurant menus, then enrolls into an Art College in Boston, then, into the SVA.
Victore prefers to work in the genre of social and political poster. His style of work is harsh and purposely rough. If put between working on a computer
or handson, will always pick the latter. Victore prefers to use one, two, maximum three colours and the choice is always symbolic: black and white — truth;
red — passion, love, terror; green — life. His works are not only simple, but witty. He believes, that blunt, decisive, bold, vibrant poster can become an
effective weapon, and says that even though posters can't change the world, they can become a colourful reminder that the world has to be changed.
