In June 2002 one more graphic designer got the most honorable award of Russia — State prize of Russian Federation in the area of art and literature. It was Boris Trofimov, an academician of the Academy of Graphic Design, a member of the Union of Artists and of the Union of Designers of Russia, etc. He was nominated by the Union of Theater Workers of Russia and got the award with his colleagues Serge Barkhin, Viktor Beryozkin, Boris Messerer for their great work — big exhibition named „The Artists of the Bolshoy Theater“. They gathered the works made not only by the leading artists of Bolshoy, but also by the artists who participated in performances if only once — by scenery makers, costume makers. Thus the whole history of the theater was shown.

The work was begun 2 years before and the material was selected from 5 museums. Trofimov-Barkhin-Beryozkin-Messerer took about 1500 pictures, half of them was chosen to make a book, including masterpieces of K. Korovin and A. Golovin (Tretyakov Gallery). The artists rose the curtain „Triumph of Muses“ that was unwrapped for about 90 years. Trofimov hat organized this multiple and diverse material in the area of two-volume catalog.
